TelkomGroup Encourages Go Global Through E-Commerce Training and Online Marketing at Blanja.com

In order to encourage Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia to penetrate the global market in the digital era, PT Telkom Indonesia (Telkom) continues to optimize the existence of BUMN Creative House (RKB) to improve the insight and competitiveness of SMEs in Indonesia, especially through online marketing operational training and product sales listings on the Blanja.com e-commerce site.

Wholesale & International Service Director of Telkom Abdus Somad Arief explains, as a State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) in digital telecommunication, TelkomGroup is committed to fully support the quality improvement of UMKM Indonesia through the utilization of digital technology. "TelkomGroup fully supports the digitalization of MSMEs in Indonesia with ICT infrastructure that reaches the entire archipelago with global access, enabling UMKM actors across Indonesia, especially MSMEs built by RKB BUMN, to start running their business by utilizing digital technology. In addition, in terms of application, TelkomGroup also continues to encourage the implementation of digital UMKM-based application management and help the listing of UMKM products on Blanja.com e-commerce site, "explained the man familiarly called ASA when met in a press conference at the exhibition Indonesia Business Development (IBD) Expo 2017 at the Jakarta Convention Center on Thursday (9/21).

In every RKB BUMN management, UMKM will go through 3 stages ranging from Go Modern, Go Digital, and Go Online. Go Modern starts from the guidance of registration at www.rkb.id website, product standardization, and branding management training. After that, UMKM actors go to the stage of Go Digital to get training implementation of digital apps, social media and product automation. The last stage is Go Online where UMKM participants get training on website creation, listing on Blanja.com e-commerce site, as well as marketing and motivation training on how to grow and inspire other SMEs.

Until now, there are a total of 441,514 SMEs RKB BUMN, of which 434,081 UMKM of them have Go Modern, 7,433 UMKM of them have Go Digital, and 6.032 UMKM has Go Online. ASA continued, the perpetrators of MSMEs in various regions provide a positive response RKB establishment. "Since the start of RKB began to be built by SOEs in 2016 and then, to date there are 441,514 MSMEs that have been registered in all RKB BUMN. This shows the enthusiasm of the perpetrators of MSMEs, with their respective superior products, they want to improve the competence and quality of UMKM in order to be able to compete globally, "said ASA.

Up to September 2017, Telkom has built 37 RKB throughout Indonesia which has been developing 2,857 MSMEs. A total of 3,549 UMKM products built by RKB Telkom have been registered at Blanja.com. In addition, UMKM assisted by RKB Telkom has also conducted more than 3,500 transactions in Blanja.com with total transactions valued at Rp 473.3 million.

The establishment and management of RKB by SOEs is one form of synergy of SOEs to explore the potential of UMKM Indonesia as one of the drivers of the national economy. RKB is also part of the SOE program Present for the State initiated by the Ministry of SOEs as an effort to empower the people's economy. Through RKB, it is expected that the perpetrators of MSMEs in Indonesia can be more qualified and have access in the global arena.
