Siloam International Acquires Facility in Bekasi, Launches New Hospital in Bogor
Jakarta. Siloam International Hospitals, the hospital operator arm of conglomerate Lippo Group, will acquire an additional hospital in Bekasi, West Java, for Rp 150 billion, or $11.23 million, the company said in a statement on Thursday (13/07).
Siloam will begin managing the Hosana Medica hospital to strengthen its presence in the West Java city. Hosana will be the second hospital acquired and operated by Siloam in the city.
The company also announced the opening of an additional hospital in Bogor, West Java.
"We are delighted to announce the opening of a Siloam Hospital and the acquisition of Hosana Medica, which will offer high quality treatment services," said Ketut Budi Wijaya, Siloam's president director.
"The opening of a new Siloam Hospital in Bogor will offer high quality services that positively impact people there," Ketut said.
Hosana has a capacity to treat over 100 in-patient people and is located around 20 kilometers from Jakarta. Hospital grounds cover an area of 9,500 square meters.
Meanwhile, the three storey Siloam hospital in Bogor is reported to have a 200 bed capacity and operates on 17,000 square meters of land. It is equipped with cutting edge technology, including CT scan machines.
Siloam employs 2,400 doctors and 8,600 nurses and support staff at 29 hospitals and 16 clinics in 19 cities across the archipelago. As of July 12, the company has Rp 13.9 trillion in market capitalization.
Siloam International Hospitals and the Jakarta Globe are both affiliated with the Lippo Group.
