A simple ceremony was held to celebrate the 73rd anniversary of Indonesia's independence on Friday (17/08) by residents of Montong Kemuning, Loloan, in North Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, a region that was recently hit by a deadly earthquake.

Children were happy throughout the day. The cracker-eating challenge and gunny sack race were their most favorite games.

The celebration was supported by the Plan International Indonesia Foundation (YPII) and Yakkum Emergency Unit (YEU), under their aid program to help the children with post-traumatic stress reactions following the quake.
