Djakarta Warehouse Project Returns With More DJs, Paint Party
Jakarta. Annual rave party Djakarta Warehouse Project, or DWP, is set to return to JIExpo Kemayoran in Central Jakarta on Dec. 9 and 10, featuring more than 50 DJs.
Organizer Ismaya Live will bring to the city 33 international and 24 local DJs, including rising Norwegian star, Alan Walker, along with Martin Garrix, Jason Ross, Zedd and Brennan Heart. Indonesian DJ Aydra will unleash his talent by mixing songs of Iwan Fals, Saint Loco and Rich Chigga into his set. Performers will share three massive stages.
This year's theme "Life in Color Kingdom" is a nod to an electronic dance music event in the United States, "Life in Color," during which colorful dyes are sprayed on the guests. Ismaya Live public relations coordinator Kevin Wiyarnanda said a production team from the US will bring the color to the DWP stages.
"We want the DWP guests to have the full-fledged Life in Color experience," he said.
Ismaya is also going to launch an all-in-one mobile application for the event. The company's assistant brand manager, Sarah Deshita, said the app will include performance times, event schedules, reminders, artist profiles, playlists and a venue map.
Ismaya will also release a special "DWP16 Official Festival Compilation," co-produced by Universal Music Indonesia and Edmotion, with dance music mixes from this year's event.
Popular food chains and restaurants such as Tokyo Belly, Sushi Grooves and Pizza e Birra will cater the event, while lifestyle retail company Monstore has been announced as its official merchandiser.
DWP 2016 will wrap up on Saturday, Dec. 10, with firework shows and an after-party featuring Cyberjapan dancers.
