Technical Glitch Delays Trading on IDX
Jakarta. Trading on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, or IDX, was delayed for an hour on Monday (10/07) due to a technical glitch.
"Due to the technical problems in a data feed distribution, we temporarily suspended trading in equities and derivative instruments between 9.34 a.m. and 10 a.m.," the IDX said in a statement.
The data feed distribution includes clients' order data for sales and purchasing transactions, and match transactions, or orders between clients.
Trading resumed at 10 a.m. with all matched orders made before that time being recorded by the system, with the exception of open orders.
The IDX said no changes in trading activity are scheduled for Monday, and trading will close at 4 p.m.
The Jakarta Composite Index fell 0.3 percent to 5.799,3 – its lowest level in three weeks, in line with most of its peers in the Southeast Asia region.
