ONE Championship Chairman Represents MMA at Forbes Global CEO Conference
Jakarta. ONE Championship chairman Chatri Sityodtong has worked for five years to promote Asia's mixed martial arts powerhouse, with the sport having benefited greatly from his tireless efforts.
The sport had, for the first time ever, a representative at the Forbes Global CEO Conference with Sityodtong attending the event in Jakarta on Tuesday (29/11).
The 16th iteration of the conference featured more than 400 global chief executives, tycoons, entrepreneurs and thought leaders.
Sityodtong took to the stage to talk about ONE Championship's tremendous growth over the past five years and about how, from its humble beginnings, the team managed to turn it into one of the largest sports media properties in Asia with global broadcasts to around a billion viewers in more than 118 countries.
The Forbes Global CEO Conference was an invite-only, exclusive two-day event where chief executives from all over the world and from various global brands and international organizations were brought together to share their experiences in the past year, including their toughest obstacles and how they overcame them.
Sityodtong was joined by leaders from diverse fields; from President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo, AirAsia chief executive Tony Fernandes to InterContinental Hotels Group chief executive Richard Solomons, among others.
Mixed martial arts' inclusion in this round of the conference was a milestone for the sport and testament to its rapid rise over the past few years.
