Jakarta. The Asian Surfing Championships, or ASC, Asia's biggest professional surfing tour, will hold its Rote Open at the beautiful Bo'a Beach in Rote Island, East Nusa Tenggara, where the event also took place last year.

"After last year's event, everyone was very excited to get to work on organizing the 2016 event and make it bigger and better," ASC president director Panji Adhikumoro Soeharto said in a statement.

This year's Rote Open will offer millions of dollars in prizes. Both local and international surfers will participate in the event.

"The 2016 Rote Open will be the best showcase to present Rote Island and its beauty to the world," event organizer Yanto Kore Mega added.

The Asian Surfing Championships' Rote Open Tournament will take place on Oct. 26-30.
