Jakarta. Indonesian Formula Two driver Sean Gelael said the Silverstone Circuit in England, where he will race on Saturday (15/07) and Sunday, is one of his favorites.
The 5.892-kilometer track is also the venue for the world's two biggest racing events, the MotoGP and Formula One, and Sean said this is a place where he can race his car at full tilt.
The 20-year-old Pertamina Arden driver has raced on the circuit several times. His best performance came during the 2015 Renault World Series when he secured a point after finishing 10th.
Last year in GP2, the former name for Formula Two, Sean also raced on the circuit but failed to win any point.
"I like Silverstone very much, it's special because it's a circuit that allows drivers to put pedal to the metal, but also doesn't make it easy for them," Sean said in a statement on Thursday.
England's unpredictable weather also makes Silverstone tricky for drivers to master.
The F2 fixture will involve a 29-lap feature race on Saturday, and a 21-lap sprint race on Sunday.
