Political Safari
Jakarta. Hasto Kristiyanto, the secretary general of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle, or PDI-P, visited Cirebon, West Java, to consolidate the party's power ahead of the 2018 simultaneous regional elections. In Cirebon, Hasto, accompanied by the party's other top executives, met with regional party leaders.
Asked by reporters who the party plans to nominate as candidate for West Java governor next July, the PDI-P leadership refused to offer any names. However, local media previously reported that Purwakarta Mayor Dedi Mulyadi might be in the running with support from the Golkar party. (BeritaSatu Photo/Gagarin)
