Jakarta. R&B group Boyz II Men and soul singer Brian McKnight are set to hold "The 90's Soul Ace" concert at the Kasablanka Hall, South Jakarta on Thursday (08/12) marking their first combined performance in Jakarta.

Willy Hidayat, chief executive of promoter MyWILL Entertainment, said the concert aims to bring back the nostalgia of classic songs from the 90s.

“I want the audience to take a walk down memory lane when [the performers] sing at the concert,” Willy said. “Boyz II Men and Brian McKnight were the biggest stars in the 90s, everyone loves their songs,”

Vocal trio Boyz II Men gained international success when single “End of The Road” reached number one worldwide on the charts in 1992. The group has collected the four Grammy Awards and nine American Music Awards throughout its career.

McKnight, meanwhile, is a 16 time Grammy-nominated musician, a renowned composer and a singer who found fame and success with his single “One Last Cry,” which ranked number 58 on the Billboard 200 chart also in 1992.

During the concert, Boyz II Men will entertain the crowd with hit songs like “On Bended Knee,” “End of the Road” and “One Sweet Day.”

Brian McKnight will pamper the audience's ears with songs including “One Last Cry,” “Back at One” and many more.

In contrast to previous performances, the R&B trio decided to perform in a full format band this year.

“This year is going to be the first time they perform with a full band in Jakarta,” said Willy. “They approached me to organize the concert and I challenged them to do something different.”

Indonesian singer Raisa and R&B band Brown Sugar will also share the stage.

Tickets are available at a starting price of Rp 930,000 ($69).
