Jakarta. Houston, we have a problem. Four hypnotizing voices have made your songs reverberate in our minds again.

Indonesian divas Dira Sugandi, Kamasean, Lea Simanjuntak and Rinni Wulandari performed at Java Jazz Festival 2017 at JIExpo Kemayoran in North Jakarta on Friday evening (03/03).

Starting with "Queen of the Night," the quartet began their tribute to Whitney Houston. Their voices remained powerful and mesmerizing until the end of the performance.

"I Believe in You and Me," originally released in 1996, rarely sung by Houston during concerts, was impressively performed by Lea.

She has wholly shown her mellifluous voice, especially in "The Bodyguard" soundtrack medley composed of "I Have Nothing" and "I Will Always Love You."

Indonesian Idol 2012 runner-up Kamasean began with a ballad intro to "How Will I Know" on piano, after which she finished the song in its original perky dance-pop beat.

She also sang another chart-topper "I'm Your Baby Tonight," with a special dedication to all lovebirds among the audience.

Dira enthralled the crowd by reaching high notes in "All the Man That I Need" and "Exhale (Shoop Shoop)."

"She [Whitney Houston] was the person who made me want to sing and become a singer. I admire her so much. Until now, if I see her videos, I cry. That's how much she still means to me," Dira said.

Rinni, another Indonesian Idol, performed "It's Not Right, But It's Okay" and "Saving All My Love for You" accompanied Jevin Julian's beatboxing. Being the most 80s-styled performer — with an orange top, high-waist skinny jeans, and hoop earrings — she marked a fresh, youthful presence.

Every song seemed to suit the singers' characters. The four of them sang together "Greatest Love of All" and "I Want to Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)" with synchronized choreography, and "I'm Every Woman" as the encore before the show really ended.
