Panama, Last Dinosaurs to Hit the Stage at Jakarta's Music Gallery Festival
Jakarta. Music Gallery, one of the most prominent indie music festivals in Jakarta, will return for its sixth edition on Mar. 12, bringing a total line-up of 17 local and international musicians on stage at Kuningan City Ballroom, South Jakarta.
This year, the festival takes on the theme of "Paint Your Atmosphere," intended to encourage the audience and performers "to design, paint and discover their own atmosphere," according to a statement by the organizers.
"We believe that every individual has their own of enjoying a music festival. We see the sixth Music Gallery as a clean canvas on which everyone is free to 'paint' on," they added.
Two major headliners for the festival hail from the land down under. Australian band Last Dinosaurs is known for their pop sensibilities with a touch of eccentricity, while electronic group Panama will play their trademark "electronic power ballads."
Homegrown performers are also aplenty, ranging from longstanding indie group Mocca and The Adams to emerging upstarts such as Elephant Kind and Kelompok Penerbang Roket. FLOAT, TIGAPAGI, Dried Cassava, Sentimental Moods and Silampukau are also set to hit the stage.
The pre-sale tickets are currently sold at Rp 110,000 ($8) at Music Gallery's website.
