Rock Band Slank Shows Support for National Narcotics Agency
Jakarta. Members of the famous Indonesian rock band Slank on Thursday (17/03) paid a visit to the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) headquarters in Cawang, East Jakarta, to show their supports in the fight against drugs abuse.
Vocalist Kaka, bass player Ivanka and drummer Bimbim met with the BNN chief, Comr. Gen. Budi Waseso, and performed their hits "Ku Tak Bisa," "Kemana Aja Loe" and "Balikin."
"We're here to show our appreciation to the work that BNN has done for us," Bimbim said, as quoted by Antara.
Budi asked Slank to create songs that can be used in the agency's campaign against drug abuse.
"We need support from all parties to fight drug abuse. This is what Slank does. Messages that come from bands like Slank will have a stronger effect than messages coming from me," he said.
Last year, the band performed at the Asia-Africa Drug-Free concert at the National Monument (Monas) in Central Jakarta.
