Singer Raisa Releases Greatest-Hits Album
Jakarta. Fresh from performing at the Java Jazz Festival last weekend, Indonesian pop singer Raisa released a compilation album, titled "The Best of Raisa," on Monday (07/03). The greatest-hits record follows her previous studio albums, "Raisa" in 2011 and "Heart to Heart" in 2015.
"I'm very honored. I have only released two albums, but now I already have a 'best of' record," she said, as quoted by Rolling Stone Indonesia. "Because I have changed my record label — the previous records were released by my old label — this is one of my ways to provide this CD to people who are really looking [for my songs]."
The new album comprises of nine tracks — six of which, such as "Melangkah" ("Crossing Over") and "Serba Salah" ("Catch 22"), were taken from her previous records. The other three, meanwhile, are live performances of "Terjebak Nostalgia" ("Caught in Nostalgia"), "Could It Be" and "Teka-Teki" ("Riddle").
"The Best of Raisa," priced at Rp 35,000 ($2.66), is currently sold at convenience store outlets, such as Alfa Midi and Lawson, in cities across Indonesia.
