Jakarta. A popular hit by Indonesian singer Muhammad Tulus, popularly known as Tulus, is now available in the Japanese iTunes store.

"Sepatu," a single from his second album "Gajah," entered the Japanese branch of Apple's music store on Oct. 10. The title has been translated to "Kutsu" (セパトゥ〜くつ〜), which means "shoes" in Japanese.

The song lyrics have also been translated to Japanese by artist Hiroaki Ato. In a statement to Antara news agency on Monday, the singer's manager Pananingtyas Prabantari said Tulus decided to target the Japanese market because the country is relatively open to work by artists from other countries in Asia.

"We are hoping this little step is able to open a wider path for Indonesia's best talents," the manager said.
