Singer Tulus Says Farewell in New Single, Music Video
Jakarta. Indonesian singer Tulus released a new single titled "Pamit" ("Farewell") last Friday (26/02) on iTunes Indonesia, followed by the launch of its official music video on YouTube the day after.
The lovelorn ballad features Tulus crooning over a harrowing piano melody and string arrangement provided by The City of Prague Philharmonics. As reported by Rolling Stone Indonesia, fifty musicians from the orchestra were involved in the recording process, which took place in Indonesia as well as one of the biggest studios in Prague, Czech Republic.
Producer Ari Renaldi, who has produced Tulus's previous two albums, also helmed and arranged the music for the new single.
"Pamit" will be part of the singer's upcoming third album, which is slated to be released later this year.
Born in 1987, Tulus released his self-titled debut album in 2011, followed by "Gajah" ("Elephant") two years after. To date, he has won six Indonesian Music Awards (AMI), one of the most prestigious music awards in Indonesia.
