Jakarta. American pop-rock band Sixpence None the Richer will headline at The 90s Festival, slated to take place at Gambir Expo Kemayoran in North Jakarta on Nov. 25.
The band, known for sweet and catchy tunes such as "Kiss Me" and "Don't Dream It's Over," leads the first group of lineups. On the festival's official Instagram account, there is a video of the band's vocalist Leigh Nash, saying that they are "really excited to come to Jakarta."
In a nostalgic comeback concert, The 90s Festival, organized by Accelera Entertainment, will feature local and international music acts that were popular in the 1990s. The festival premiered in February 2015 in Bandung, West Java.
The second edition took place in November of the same year, featuring Australian alternative rock group Frente. This marked the first time a foreign band featured at the festival.
The upcoming edition is the first after a two-year hiatus.
Other acts included in the lineup are local bands such as Dewa 19, feat. Ari Lasso; KLA Project; Shaden; Bragi; Stinky; Wayang; D. O. T.; and Voodoo.
Although the organizers have not yet clarified when the next group of lineups will be announced, tickets have already been on sale on the festival's official website since Aug. 21, with prices ranging between Rp 480,000 and Rp 1,480,000 ($36-$111).
