Jakarta. After announcing their first concert in Singapore last week, Tame Impala said via their Facebook account on Monday that they would hold a concert in Jakarta on Apr. 29.

The Australian indie rock band will play at Parkir Selatan Senayan, South Jakarta, starting at 8 p.m. that Friday night.

Concert tickets will go on sale on Feb. 5, from 9 a.m., at kiostix.com. Information on ticket prices will be released soon.

Starting as a small home recording project in 2007, Tame Impala became known for its brand of psychedelic rock, which the band first introduced through its 2010 debut album, "Innerspeaker."

Kevin Parker is the mastermind of Tame Impala, with a revolving cast of touring members. Currently, the lineup features Cam Avery, Julien Barbagello, Dominic Simper and Jay Watson.

The band's second record, "Lonerism" received a Grammy Award nomination for the Best Alternative Music Album category.

Most recently, Tame Impala released "Currents" in 2015. The album received positive reviews, with Rolling Stone dubbing Parker "the most prominent member of a class of young musicians that is creating some of today's most spectacularly catchy music by being backward-looking and forward-thinking at the same time."

Prior to the upcoming Jakarta concert, the band will also make a stop at Singapore's Laneway Festival this January and go on a tour across Europe and South America.
