Indonesian students wishing to further their education in Australia will be able to research and plan their choice of study with the help of a new official website, the Australian embassy said on Wednesday.
The new website www.studyinaustralia.gov.au is now accessible and is the official source of information on studying in the country.
“Australia has a fantastic range of internationally recognised institutions offering high quality courses across the education spectrum...Now Indonesian students can learn about them quickly and easily in a format that suits their lifestyle,” Australia’s Ambassador to Indonesia Greg Moriarty said.
Potential students can also interact via social media, access information about scholarships and read or watch the stories of other students. It features an enhanced search function and a log-in that allows users to bookmark information and favourites.
It also includes detailed information about Australia’s states and territories and updated content including news and event feeds in Bahasa Indonesian.
In the coming months, additional functions will be added, including a personalized study guide, the embassy said,.
In December 2012 there were 17,514 Indonesian students enrolled in Australian educational institutions, according to the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and trade.
