Jakarta. A fire in a dense residential area near Kota Station in Taman Sari, West Jakarta, Thursday evening (05/01) disrupted services for nearby commuter trains.
The fire reportedly broke out at 8.45 p.m., with 32 fire trucks deployed to the area.
No casualties have been reported and the cause remains unknown.
KAI Commuter Jabodetabek train operators said the fire had affected the Jakarta Kota-Manggarai line.
"For safety and security, currently the electricity has been shut down and the operation of Jakarta Kota-Manggarai commuter trains has been suspended temporarily,” the statement said.
