Jakarta. President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo is not planning a cabinet reshuffle, a minister said after a cabinet meeting on Wednesday (04/01).
"The president began the meeting by saying there will be no cabinet reshuffle," Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung told reporters at Bogor Palace, south of Jakarta, on Wednesday (04/01).
Pramono said the ministers were relieved to hear Jokowi's statement.
"Unless there is an urging need, there should be no reshuffle in the near future," he added.
Jokowi and Vice President Jusuf Kalla have summoned all ministers to attend a briefing on policies that will be implemented by the government in the sectors of justice, security, economy and maritime affairs.
The president has made social equality a priority in this year's government agenda.
