International Labor Organization (ILO) on Friday urged the government to do more to enforce its workers' health and safety regulation (K3).

"ILO will work with the government, labor organizations and businessmen to explore how to improve work safety and prevent similar incidents from happening in the future," ILO Indonesia Director Michiko Miyamoto said.

According to the organization's data, 1.8 million work-related deaths happen every year in the Asia-Pacific region, two thirds of them in Asia.
