Rio 2016: Lifters Triyatno, I Ketut Ariana Punch Below Weight
Jakarta. Weightlifters Triyatno and I Ketut Ariana failed to earn a place in the podium at the Rio 2016 Olympics on Tuesday (09/08), after lifting well below their best.
Triyatno and I Ketut, both competing in the men's 69 kilogram class, could only look on as China's Shi Zhiyong won the gold lifting 352 kg, Turkey's Daniyar Ismayilov won silver lifting 351 kg and Kirghistan's Izzat Artykov won bronze lifting 339 kg.
Triyatno struggled to 10th place lifting a paltry 317 kg, while I Ketut did not even bother the scoreboard after failing all his attempts at the snatch.
Indonesia still has one last chance to win another medal from weightlifting, with Deni competing in the men's 77 kg class on Wednesday.
