Jakarta. Integrated telecommunications provider First Media was named the top Pay TV company at the 2017 Service Quality Awards at the Mulia Senayan Hotel in Central Jakarta on Thursday (03/08).
Edward Sanusi, operations director at First Media cable TV and broadband Internet subsidiary Link Net, received the Diamond Award.
Research and consulting firm Carre-CSSL, which organized the awards ceremony, conducted face-to-face interviews with customers between January and March 2017 in Jakarta, Surabaya (East Java), Semarang (Central Java) and Medan (North Sumatra).
The firm compiled its findings into its Service Quality Index, which uses customer ratings of price and service to determine the most efficient companies. First Media received a score of 4.0342 out of five.
The service provider also received a second-best nod in the Internet Service Provider and Internet Service Provider for Corporate Customers categories.
First Media is the largest cable TV service provider in Indonesia and provides high-quality, pay TV and high speed Internet broadband services to over 1.9 million subscribers in the country. The company expects to enroll as many as 150,000 new subscribers by the end of 2017.
"We are always committed to providing the best service to our customers [...] to meet their needs. This award must motivate us to keep improving our services," Edward said.
First Media and the Jakarta Globe are both affiliated with the Lippo Group.
