Jakarta. Ride-hailing app Grab held a "Grab for Partners" event at the General Strike Monument in Yogyakarta located in the heart of the city on Sunday (17/12).
The event signified the app’s first anniversary of reaching the Special Region of Yogyakarta, and celebrated the hard work and commitment of its drivers in Yogyakarta.
"We believe our drivers are at the core of who we are as a company. Their hard work and commitment have elevated Grab to become one of the most trusted modes of transport in Indonesia. We care very deeply about their lives and well-being," said Grab Indonesia’s managing director Ridzki Kramadibrata.
The "Grab for Partners" celebration provided a series of entertainment for 2,000 partners and their families, as well as the general public in the form of a bazaar and a variety of music shows.
As part of their commitment in bettering the lives of their drivers, Grab awarded 64 of their best GrabCar and GrabBike drivers with gifts ranging from cash prizes to various vouchers.
"We believe that improving the livelihood and giving back to our drivers will encourage them even more to provide the best service for our customers." added Ridzki.
Grab is one of the largest ride-hailing application in Southeast Asia, the app has been downloaded more than 70 million times and provides an alternative to public and private transportation for the hectic cities in Southeast Asia.
