IndiHome Surpasses Expectations in First Quarter
Jakarta. Telkom Indonesia has set a new target to attract 5 million subscribers to its fixed broadband service, IndiHome, by the end of this year after achieving its previous target of 4 million in the first quarter.
"After reaching this milestone, Telkom is optimistic that it can surpass its new target of 5 million subscribers by the end 2018," Siti Choiriana, director of consumer services at Telkom, said in a press statement on Thursday (07/06).
"We believe the availability of high-speed connectivity will help to further grow the Indonesian economy," she added.
Telkom saw revenue from IndiHome increase 48.8 percent year-on-year in the first quarter, with the number of subscribers growing by 97 percent annually, making the fixed broadband service one of Telkom's fastest-growing products.
Telkom finance director Harry Zen added that the state-owned telecommunications operator is in a constant search for ways to grow and innovate so it can continue to flourish in the future.
