Matahari Department Store One of Analysts' Most Preferred Listed Companies
Jakarta. Matahari Department Store was named one of the analysts' most preferred listed companies in "Yuk Nabung Saham" or "Let's Invest in Shares" study.
Matahari was reviewed with more than 500 other companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). IDX cooperated with the Indonesian Association of Securities Analysts (AAEI) and Institute of Certified Securities Analysts (CSA Institute) to carry out the survey.
Five issues were analysed — future profitability, disclosure and transparency, corporate governance, liquidity and business sustainability.
"Despite the challenging economic conditions in Indonesia, Matahari once again was successful in its performance and recorded an increase in sales and net income in 2016. It also discloses information regarding the company's activities to show its transparency to the public," Matahari corporate secretary and legal director Miranti Hadisusilo said in a statement on Tuesday (14/03).
She added that Matahari has an active investor relations division to maintain a relationship with analysts and investors.
Matahari Department Store and the Jakarta Globe are both affiliated with the Lippo Group.
