Mental Revolution Photography Contest
Jakarta. The winners of the "National Movement of Mental Revolution" photo contest received money awards from Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Puan Maharani, on Wednesday (07/09).
The winning entries were selected from three categories: Clean Indonesia, Orderly Indonesia, and Indonesia Serves.
"Menghadang yang Tidak Tertib" ("Stopping Misbehavior") by Dhoni Setiawan from South Tangerang, Banten, won the competition. "Disiplin" ("Disclipine") by Oki Santosa from Bandung, West Java, was second, and "Saling Bantu" ("Helping Each Other") by Ujang Hidayat, also from Bandung, was third.
Nearly 2,000 photographs sent by 541 participants from all over Indonesia entered the contest. The selection process, which started in May 2016, resulted in three winning photos and 20 nominations.
The participants' names were kept anonymous to the judges among whom were two senior photographers and a representative of the minister.
With "mental revolution" as its main theme, the contest was intended to be a medium to observe its progress. Puan closed the ceremony with an appeal to the society to support the movement.
