Telkom and Commonwealth Life Launch Digitally Based Insurance Plan
Jakarta. Telkom Indonesia and Commonwealth Life are working together to launch of the "Jiwa Sehat" insurance program.
The program will be the first insurance plan with a digital payment system for users of Telkom's T-Cash application.
Indrayana Agussaputra, director of alternative distribution channels at Commonwealth Life, and Judi Achmad, executive vice president of Telkom's enterprise service division, signed the cooperation agreement on Monday (06/08).
The marketing collaboration will allow customers can pay their premiums in real time and without cash, while simultaneously advancing the insurance industry into the digital sphere.
Commonwealth Life marketers will approach T-Cash customers to offer them the insurance program.
Customers will be able to pay premiums ranging from Rp 50,000 to Rp 1.2 million ($3.45-$83) per month.
Commonwealth Life president director Elvis Liongosari said opportunities in the digital domain are still abundant and this is one way a company can maximize the perks that are available through this channel.
"The Jiwa Sehat plan is an answer for Indonesians who need tried and tested health insurance with an easy and cashless payment system using T-Cash," Elvis said in a statement on Wednesday.
Dian Rachmawan, director of enterprise and business service at Telkom, has also welcomed the new insurance program. He said Telkom will always be ready to help the insurance industry access the digital sphere through a digital payment system, in line with the government's goal to create a cashless society, while also emphasizing ease of transaction and security.
The collaboration will involve Telkom subsidiary Finnet Indonesia, which is tasked with payment aggregation, online payment platforms and as an integrator. Infomedia Nusantara, a company that works in business process management, will provide telemarketing and the T-Cash platform.
