In an effort to improve the quality and competitiveness of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia, PT Telkom Indonesia (Telkom) held PameranTelkom Craft Indonesia at 10-12 March 2017 in Hall A Jakarta Convention Center. The exhibition with the theme Local Heroes to Global Champions is officially opened by the Minister of State Enterprises Rini M. Soemarno and witnessed by the Board of Directors of SOEs.
SOE Minister Rini M. Soemarno said, "SMEs still need guidance and assistance in terms of standard of product development, quality, and the use of technology and management. SMEs also need access to a wider market through exhibitions and online sales. Equally important, the SMEs need capital support. Therefore, the Ministry of SOEs encourage SOEs to work together to build RKB in all cities/regencies in Indonesia to provide solutions to these problems, "said Rini.
Telkom Craft Indonesia is part of the Creative Home SOE (RKB), initiated by the Ministry of SOEs aimed at fostering SMEs to obtain access to competence, commerce, and capital. Until the end of 2016, there are 100 RKB has been built by the state. Furthermore, RKB 514 will be present in cities/regencies throughout Indonesia are targeted to be completed by the end of 2017.
Rini hope, through RKB SOE presence, can really be felt by the entire people of Indonesia, especially by SMEs. "The appreciation must be given to Telkom who initiated this event, as the implementation of the RKB provides an opportunity for SMEs to gain access to a wider market through the exhibition and digitization of business," Rini message.
Meanwhile, Telkom CEO Alex J. Sinaga confirms Telkom has been instrumental in supporting the digitization of SMEs. According to him, in this digital era, SMEs have great potential to become the driving digital economy ecosystem in Indonesia.

Telkom Craft Indonesia presents 126 SMEs that were selected from 125 thousand SMEs across Indonesia Telkom fostered and trained partners another state, which consists of three categories, Craft, Fashion, and Food. SOE Ministry believes that the simultaneous and balanced cooperation between SOEs with established partners will open a larger economic space for local SMEs in the development of creative industries archipelago.
