Jakarta. President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo said on Monday (16/01) that he already has the name of the next Air Force chief, who will replace Air Marshall Agus Supriatna.

Indonesian Military (TNI) chief Gen. Gatot Nurmantyo has proposed three high-ranking Air Force officers as candidates.

They are National Resilience Institute (Lemhanas) deputy chairman Air Marshall Bagus Puruhuto, Defense Ministry inspectorate general Air Marshall Hadi Tjahjanto and Air Force deputy chief Air Marhall Hadiyan Sumintaatmadja.

"It is already in my pocket," Jokowi told reporters when asked about his choice.

"I will open it later. It is still in my pocket," he added.

The new Air Force chief will replace Agus, who is retiring later this month. He has served the post since January 2015.
