Jakarta. An estimated 120,000 visitors flocked to the Tourism Gebyar 2017 exhibition at the Beachwalk shopping center in Kuta, Bali, on Oct. 6-8.
The event, organized by the Indonesian Association of Amusement Parks and Recreation (Putri), featured 15 booths ranging from zoos, adventure companies, luwak coffee producers, entertainment distributors and representatives of various tourist destinations.
Organizer I Gusti Agung Ngurah Kertiyasa said the exhibition will take place again next year with a different theme to promote other, less popular, destinations in Bali.
Tourism Minister Arief Yahya said the success of the event shows that Bali is still safe for visitors despite the expected eruption of Mount Agung.
