Costa Victoria Arrives in Aceh to Participate in Sail Sabang 2017
Jakarta. The cruise ship Costa Victoria arrived in Aceh on Monday (27/11) to allow its 1,980 passengers to witness Indonesia's biggest sailing event, Sail Sabang 2017.
The ship was greeted by traditional dancers upon its arrival at CT-3 Dock.
"The passengers are from Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Brunei Darussalam. They went directly to Banda Aceh to visit the Baiturahman Great Mosque before immediately returning to Sabang," Sabang Tourism Agency head Adi Taufik said on Tuesday.
The Sabang local government arranged 30 buses to transport the tourists, who were all invited to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the area.
Sail Sabang 2017 will coincide with several events, including an underwater photography competition at Iboih Beach on Wednesday and a bazaar and freediving championship on Sunday.
There will also be a fishing competition at Rondo Island over the weekend, in addition to cultural festivals and a fishing boat parade.
