Indonesia to Promote Tourist Destinations in France
Jakarta. The Ministry of Tourism is set to participate in the International French Travel Market, or IFTM, Top Resa at the Parc des Expositions Porte de Versailles in Paris, France, on Sept. 26-29 to increase the number of French tourists.
IFTM Top Resa is France’s annual international business to business tourism exhibition, attended by over 30,000 trade professionals and more than 500 exhibitors.
Indonesia will bring tourism industry players from across Indonesia, including nine tour operators and five hotels from Jakarta, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara and Raja Ampat in West Papua.
"The representatives will do business transactions with buyers, who mostly are directors, owners and managers of tour operators from France and other countries," Gde Pitana, deputy for foreign marketing development at the ministry, said in a statement.
Indonesian booth will present traditional coffee and traditional dance performances to attract visitors.
Indonesia has set a target of 290,000 French tourists in 2017.
Indonesia will further promote tourist destinations in France by joining luxury travel exhibition International Luxury Travel Market Cannes 2017, held in Cannes on Dec. 4-7.
