Polygon Ready to Promote ‘Wonderful Indonesia’ to Global Community
Jakarta. Polygon, a leading bicycle brand in the country, has become one of 19 companies invited to partner with the Ministry of Tourism to promote the Wonderful Indonesia marketing campaign abroad.
The company will place the Wonderful Indonesia logo on its bikes at an event dubbed the "Wonderful Indonesia Co-Branding Forum."
"The Wonderful Indonesia brand already has a high value. It will also support these brands that it will be placed on," Arief said in a statement received on Monday (07/08).
The ministry’s deputy for tourism development, Esthy Reko Astuti, also added that Polygon was selected as it has a strong market in Europe.
"Its mother company, Insera Sena, was selected by 62 countries as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for other international brands such as Scott, Kona, Kuwahara, Mustang, Miyata, Avanti, Marin and several other brands since 1999," she said.
The partnership with Polygon will be focused on sport tourism, with various activities to be held in Indonesia such as Tour de Flores, Tour de Singkarak, Tour de Indonesia and others.
Ronny Liyanto, the marketing director of PT Insera Sena, has also expressed his enthusiasm on the co-branding scheme.
"We welcomed the invitation from the Tourism Ministry. Polygon is the only Indonesian brand for bicycles that have been viral in foreign markets. We are also the first and consistently joining Eurobike, the largest bicycle exhibition in Europe since 2011," Ronny said.
Polygon has been developing its foreign distribution by opening several outlets in Europe and currently available in almost 50 stores in Germany and France.
In addition, it is also launching a new outlet in California, USA.
