Kimia Farma Strengthens Synergy With Telkom Through Digitalization
The rapid development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) requires corporations to continue to adapt to build sustainable businesses. In line with that, PT Kimia Farma (Persero) Tbk (Kimia Farma) synergize with PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (Telkom) to strengthen the digitization in Kimia Farma business environment. The realization of the business partnership is marked by the signing of Cooperation Agreement (PKS) of Kimia Farma Digitalization conducted by Director Kimia Farma, Honesti Basyir and Director of Telkom Enterprise & Business Service, Dian Rachmawan in Bandung, Wednesday (27/12).
The process of digitizing Kimia Farma includes the provision of cloud infrastructure and network, hardware, and integrated application system which is integrated with Enteprise Resource Planning (ERP) system which has been applied by Kimia Farma since October 2016. The application system provided by Telkom consists of smart stock, omni channel, customer loyalty, big data analytics, clinical integration, referral program, and home care services.
As the first and largest pharmaceutical company in Indonesia, Kimia Farma is committed to increasing its capacity to become a digital pharmaceutical industry player.
Telkom's Business & Business Service Director Dian Rachmawan welcomed the positive synergy between BUMNs that exist between Telkom and Kimia Farma. "We thank you for the trust of Kimia Farma to Telkom. With the capability of Telkom's digital ecosystem, and supported by telecommunication infrastructure reaching out to Indonesia, we are sure to encourage the application of ICT or digitization in Kimia Farma. This is aimed at improving services to customers and communities, as well as strengthening the position of Kimia Farma as a leading player in the healthcare industry in Indonesia, "said Dian.
Dian continues, Kimia Farma Digitalization program is expected to participate in realizing the hope of the Ministry of SOEs in terms of digitizing BUMN in Indonesia. "The digitization of Kimia Farma is one of Telkom's commitment in helping to increase the operational excellence of BUMN through the implementation of integrated ICT," said Dian.
Meanwhile, Director of Kimia Farma, Honesti Basyir, expressed his appreciation for Telkom's support for digitization in Kimia Farma. "Kimia Farma always strives to improve the quality of health services in Indonesia. To become a leading healthcare company as well as a global pharmaceutical industry player, we will apply digitization from upstream to downstream to Kimia Farma's business value chain which includes production up to retail (pharmacy). Implementation of this technology will simplify business processes and improve customer experience so that service to consumers more optimal, "said Honesti Basyir.
In the future, this cooperation is expected to further improve the quality of products and services of both SOEs, both at the national and global levels so as to provide added value and benefits for all stakeholders.
