pies in the face

Aren’t we all guilty of mentally picturing ourselves throwing a pie at someone’s face; be it your friend or foe, your colleague, your boss, your frenemies or a celebrity?

Here’s your chance to turn fantasy into reality — all for a good cause! Pies in the Face Charity returns for the second time on May 30 at the VIP parking lot of Plaza FX in Sudirman, South Jakarta. From 2 p.m to 5 p.m., grab the chance to throw a pie into our volunteers’ face — for a price!

All the proceeds will be equally divided to Taman Bacaan Pelangi (Rainbow Reading Garden)– a non-profit organization that has established 29 children’s libraries in 14 remote islands across Eastern Indonesia to encourage and nurture children’s interest in reading and Komunitas Taufan (Taufan's Commuunity) -established for moral, educational and financial support for the undeprivilidged families and sick children in Jakarta's local hospitals and foundations.

Count Me In cordially invites you to lend a hand by becoming a nominated volunteer (for a pie in the face), or held put in other duties, such a whipping pies, manning the cashier, etc. If interested, tweet us at @CountMeInID.

We are reaching out to YOU in the hopes that you'll be brave enough to take a pie in the face for charity, or smart enough convince a friend to sit and take a pie for a good cause.
