BII To Uplifts Social Welfare Among Disadvantaged Communities
PT. Bank International Indonesia Tbk (BII) has joined hands with a nonprofit institution, Dompet Dhuafa (Literally means 'the wallet of the poor') through a strategic partnership in uplifting social welfare.
The initiation of the partnership was realized through a signing of a cooperation agreement, symbolically conducted between the President Director of BII, Taswin Zakaria and the President of Dompet Dhuafa, Ahmad Juwaini, at the headquarters of BII, Senayan, Jakarta (17/9).
Through this partnership, the donators of Dompet Dhuafa can now carry the payment of zakat, infaq and charity by online over the electronic banking (e-channel) network of BII.
As for the online payment method, donators could transfer charity payment through more than 1,500 outlets of BII ATM, the recently launched BII maybank2u service (mobile banking), BII Internet Banking, as well as more than 100 BII Electronic Draft Capture (EDC) either at the counter or at several Dompet Dhuafa branch offices.
BII and Dompet Dhuafa has also established a strategic partnership in cash management. BII, through its BII CooL Banking (BII Corporate On-Line Banking), provides the facilities of Virtual Account (VA), that allows Dompet Dhuafa to identify the payment conducted by its donators.
"The provision of Cash Management solution, as well as the ease of zakat, infaq, and charity payment is in-line with our mission to humanize financial services to both of our customers and business partners. The Banking support that we provide is also an attempt to grow together with the community, including the donator community of Dompet Dhuafa," said Zakaria Taswin.
"This cooperation is increasingly adding our service network convenience to our donators, especially during the blessed moments of Eid Al-Adha. Thus, there is no more reason among us to delay our obligation for charity, no matter how busy we are," said President Director of Dompet Dhuafa, Ahmad Juwaini.
BII strategic partnership with Dompet Dhuafa is ultimately a form of support to uplift the social welfare in Indonesia, particularly in contributing the economic empowerment of the disadvantaged communities in the country.
