Jakarta. Mobile broadband provider Bolt! is going to offer a package that allows customers to enjoy up to 300 megabits per second, after the company upgraded its networks into the 4G LTE Advanced system to deliver speedier wireless data payloads.
During the launch of the new unlimited post-paid internet plan for home users "Bolt Home Unlimited" in Jakarta on Wednesday (22/02), Bolt! managed to showcase a speed of up to 300 mbps using a Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphone.
"Speed is a competitive advantage that Bolt! owns, and it is the main consideration for customers when they chose 4G LTE services. With devices already available on the market, like Samsung Galaxy S7, the speed of Bolt!'s service can hit up to 300 mbps," said Billy Abe, chief product officer of Bolt! 4G Ultra LTE.
He added that so far the 300 mbps speed can only be enjoyed by customers who use specific smartphones, such as Samsung Galaxy S7.
"We are currently preparing the right product [package], because many users need this fast internet service. We just want to show that Bolt! has been ready since to provide it."
Apart from showcasing Bolt!'s latest internet speed, Abe also spoke about the new unlimited post-paid internet plan for home users.
He said the product was launched because most of the customers need unlimited internet access at their homes.
Since many regions across Indonesia still lack in decent connectivity, Bolt!'s new plan comes with an outdoor customer premises equipment to improve data transmission.
"With Bolt Home Unlimited, the 4G reception inside the house will remain strong and stable. Plus it allows unlimited access," Abe said.
Bolt! offers six packages of Bolt Home Unlimited, starting from Rp 199.000 ($15). Customers can choose from a variety of internet plans and do not have to buy their outdoor CPEs, as they are part of the subscription.
