BTPN Introduces 'Jenius' Mobile Banking App With Personalized Services
Jakarta. Bank Tabungan Pensiunan Nasional has launched Jenius, a mobile banking application that offers personalized customer services and unique functions — from fingerprint authentication to customized user accounts.
"Digital technology has become part of our life, Jenius offers a complete banking system on your smartphone that is simple, smart and safe," BTPN CEO Jerry Ng said on Thursday (11/08).
Jenius can be downloaded from the Google Playstore and Apple Store. Users must have a bank account with BTPN before they can use the services offered in the application.
Among the unique features on Jenius is $Cashtag, which allows inter-user money transfer. Users can also personalize their bank accounts with their chosen names, just like on Twitter. Another unique feature is One Touch that authenticates account owners using their finger prints for extra security. Jenius users can also send and request money between themselves — splitting bills becomes as easy as sending text messages.
With the Dreamsaver feature, customers can set aside money to buy a particular item and set a date to complete the saving. For example, when a user plans to buy a new pair of shoes worth Rp 500,000 by the end of the year, Jenius can automatically set aside a certain amount each month from the user's savings. The money will be locked in on the Dreamsaver plan until the due date.
BTPN director Anika Faisal said the lender is optimistic about Indonesia's growing economy and predicts digital-savvy consumers will be the new trendsetters in the banking industry.
There are more than 100 million registered internet users, 72.3 million social networks users and 338.4 million mobile subscribers in Indonesia. The numbers are projected to grow in the coming years.
