Budiarsa Appointed President of Int’l Real Estate Federation
Jakarta. Budiarsa Sastrawinata, the managing director of Indonesia’s leading property firm Ciputra Group, has been appointed as the president of the International Real Estate Federation, or FIABCI, during a recent event in Miami.
His appointment as the organization’s 58th world president came during the 73rd FIABCI Real Estate World Congress from June 5-9.
“I fully realize the big responsibility that comes to my shoulders and am committed to serving and leading this respected organization with sincere dedication and integrity,” Budiarsa said in a statement on Saturday.
He said he is focused on achieving FIABCI’s goals and bringing greater benefits to its members.
His programs during his one-year tenure include expanding FIABCI’s international collaboration, promoting ecology preservation-oriented businesses, and introducing new business opportunities through “unique platforms”.
In addition, he plans to set up an online library as part of his program to bring new knowledge to all FIABCI members.
“I will encourage closer cooperation between FIABCI and other international organizations such as the United Nations, the IFC (International Finance Corporation), and the INTA (International Trademark Association),” he said.
The FIABCI, which was established 73 years ago, is expected to attract new members who can make use of the organization’s international networks and long experience in the real estate industry, he added.
