CIMB Niaga Chief Arwin Rasyid to Step Down in April
Jakarta. Arwin Rasyid will step down from his position as Bank CIMB Niaga president director in April.
"I have [been the president director] for two periods and it's been extended a year, so it will end after the shareholders meeting in April," he said on Sunday.
Lo Pain Khing, CIMB Niaga's deputy president director, confirmed the resignation in a filing to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on Friday, also saying that Arwin's resignation would be effective after the company's annual shareholders meeting this year.
Arwin has been the lender's president director since Nov. 1, 2008, after leading several state-owned companies including telecommunication giant Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom) and Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI), the country's fourth-largest lender by assets. He started his banking career at Bank of America in 1980.
