Eastspring Investments Indonesia Appoints Alan T. Darmawan as CEO

Jakarta. Asset manager Eastspring Investments, a part of Prudential Corporation Asia, has appointed Alan T. Darmawan as chief executive officer for Eastspring Investments Indonesia to grow its business in the country, the company said in a statement on Thursday (02/03).

Alan's appointment is subject to approval by Indonesia's Financial Services Authority (OJK) but has been effective since Wednesday.

"Alan is an outstanding investment management executive with a distinguished career and has the skills, experience and personal attributes to successfully lead our business in this important market," Eastspring chief executive Guy Strapp said.

Alan has been working in the financial sector with major companies in Indonesia for the past 25 years.

He previously served as chief investment officer for Asuransi Allianz Life Indonesia, where he held senior roles in market management, bancassurance, risk management and served on the board of directors.

Prudential Indonesia country chief executive Rinaldi Mudahar said Alan's experience and expertise in the life insurance industry will strengthen the asset management business and "promote stronger synergies" between the two.
