Jakarta. The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises has appointed Elvyn G. Masassya as the new president director of port operator Pelabuhan Indonesia II on Friday (22/04).
Elvyn will lead a new board of directors that includes Saptono R Irianto, Dana Amin, Orias P. Moedak, and Dede R Martin, Pelindo II corporate secretary Banu Astrini said in a statement.
Elvyn replaces R.J. Lino, who was forced to resign last year over the controversial purchase of cranes for Tanjung Priok Port in North Jakarta, which he allegedly conducted without following proper procedures.
Elvyn holds a bachelors degree in economics from Jayabaya University and a masters degree in management from the Bandung Institute of Technology.
His term at the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan ended last year, which saw him guiding the agency's transformation from a state-owned firm into a universal social security provider for Indonesian workers.
Pelindo II has set a revenue target of Rp 8.1 trillion ($615 million) for this year, up 8 percent from last year. It also eyes a profit of Rp 1.5 trillion, compared to Rp 1.4 trillion last year.
