First Media Receives Indonesia Most Innovative Business Award 2017
Jakarta. Integrated telecommunications and multimedia service provider First Media received the Indonesia Most Innovative Business Award 2017 from Warta Ekonomi magazine on Friday (24/02).
First Media was one of five winners in the category Advertising, Printing, and Media, along with Elang Mahkota Teknologi, Media Nusantara Citra, Surya Citra Media and Intermedia Capital.
The award is a token of appreciation for industry players capable of coming up with the best innovations. Warta Ekonomi carried out research between Dec. 27 last year and Jan. 20 this year to select the winners.
"Innovations are generated not only in terms of our services, but also in terms of products and the company's performance," said Meena K. Adnani, content and marketing director at cable TV and broadband operator Link Net, which is part of the First Media Group.
She said First Media's achievements are the result of the company's hard work to provide the best for its customers.
"We place emphasize on service. We're always service-oriented. We always think of what our customers would need. That's why we keep launching new products, to fulfil customers' needs. Therefore, our innovations are always based on the perspective of our customers," Meena said.
Latest Products
Meena described First Media's latest product lineup. Customers can use First Media X (FMX) to access television programming from anywhere with their gadgets.
"Customers can use the same username and password [on any gadget]. They can access the channels they are subscribed to from anywhere, at any time," she said.
With FMX's "catchup feature," subscribers can also watch programs they have missed earlier.
Another product, which is the My First Media app, eases account management. Any bills or announcements on the latest promotional offers can be viewed on the app. It can also be used to submit complaints.
The 4K service and 4K set-top box are First Media's flagship products, believed to be the first in Indonesia to offer content in ultra-high definition.
"This is the first time in Indonesia where there is a sophisticated set-top box with ultra-HD content. We are certainly far superior compared with our competitors, because we have a value proposition that our competitors don't," Meena added.
First Media and the Jakarta Globe are both affiliated with the Lippo Group.
