Foreign Tourist Arrivals Up Nearly 25 Percent in August
Jakarta. Foreign tourist arrivals in Indonesia rose 24.77 percent to 1.18 million in August from a year earlier, the country's statistics bureau announced on Monday (10/02).
The August increase was bigger than July's 21.8 percent annual rise.
The total number of foreign visitors, including those passing through Indonesia's borders from neighboring countries and foreign workers with permits for less than one year, was 1.40 million in August, up 36.11 percent from the previous year.
