Former Top Cop Joins Grab Indonesia

Jakarta. App-based ride-hailing platform Grab Indonesia announced former top cop Badrodin Haiti as its new president commissioner on Monday (30/01).
He will be responsible for keeping the company's directors' performance in check in a bid to make sure Grab's business remain sustainable.
"General Badrodin had an outstanding career with the Indonesian National Police, where he served for 35 years," Ridzki Kramadibrata, Grab Indonesia managing director, said in a statement.
"He will guide Grab Indonesia in contributing constructively to improve transportation in Indonesia," Ridzki said.
Prior to joining Grab, Badrodin was the National Police Chief from April 2015 to July 2016.
"I'm very glad to join Grab Indonesia, an organization with a proven track record to improve the welfare of its workers and offer solutions to local problems," Badrodin said in a statement.
Badrodin, who had also headed the police force in Banten, Central Sulawesi, North Sulawesi and East Java, promised to use his experience working in many different locations in Indonesia to provide strategic input for Grab Indonesia's expansion plan.
