SEPTEMBER 28, 2018

Jakarta. Go-Tix, an event ticket booking service established by ride-hailing firm Go-Jek, launched its website version on Thursday (27/09) to expand its service offering and customer base.

The company boasts that it has sold about 2.5 million tickets through its Go-Tix mobile feature, and it plans to attract even more customers in the upcoming months.

"We see that most of our customers are millennials. They are looking for the best deals, like discounts or loyalty points, before purchasing tickets for film or live events," Rama Adrian, vice president of customer solutions at Loket, said in a statement.

Go-Jek acquired ticketing platform Loket in August last year and renamed it Go-Tix, to tap the growing market of live event and ticketing management industry. The original Loket management team remains in charge of Go-Tix's operations.

The website version will offer myriad payment options, including internet banking, mobile banking, debit or credit cards, internet transfers, and wallet payment Go-Pay.

Through its mobile platform, Go-Tix offers movie tickets and passes for music, sports, workshops, and art and cultural events.

Go-Tix also provides information on films and events on its website, in addition to exclusive ticket deals, rarely offered on other websites.

"Many potential events are often left uncovered and unnoticed. With improved features and services, we hope customers could keep up to date with these upcoming events," marketing vice president Adimas Ario said.

Go-Tix also offers tickets for journeys through the archipelago and passes for recreational parks.

Founded in 2013, Loket popularized the use of radio-frequency identification (RFID) to identify eventgoers at concerts or events.
