Gov't Issues Nickel Ore, Bauxite Export Recommendations for Antam
Jakarta. Indonesia's Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources on Monday (03/04) issued export recommendations for state-owned miner Aneka Tambang, or Antam, allowing it to ship nickel ores and bauxite overseas.
The ministry's recommendations to allow Antam to export 2.7 million tonnes of nickel ore and 850,000 tonnes of bauxite have been sent for approval to the Ministry of Trade, Bambang Gatot, the director general of coal and minerals at the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry told reporters.
The Trade Ministry has the authority to issue export permits.
