Harley-Davidson Looking for New Dealer in Indonesia
FEBRUARY 10, 2016
Jakarta. Harley-Davidson is looking for a new dealer in Indonesia after Mabua Motor Indonesia, the existing authorized distributor of Harley-Davidson motorcycles in the country, saw its contract expire in December last year and decided not extend the deal.
The new dealer is expected to help assist Harley-Davidson in offering spare-parts, accessories and its clothing line to new and existing customers.
The management of Harley-Davidson Asia Pacific said in a statement on Tuesday (9/2) that the decision to look for a new dealer is in line with the company's aim to develop its international network and add 150 to 200 new dealers by 2020.
Mabua Motor will continue to provide mechanical services and spare parts to Harley-Davidson customers at its outlet in Pondok Pinang, South Jakarta, until June 30.
Antara news reported last year that Mabua Motor closed its assembly plant in Pulo Gadung, East Jakarta, due to high costs and a lengthy assembly process.
